About
Practical guidance on international tax for individuals living and working across borders.
NICE TO MEET YOU
I'm Andy
I’m Andy, an international tax adviser specialising in cross-border planning for globally mobile individuals and businesses.
I began working in international tax in 2014 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2018. I worked at global accounting firms BDO and PwC. During this time I advised high net worth individuals and multinational corporations on cross-border tax issues.Â
Over time, I noticed a clear shift in the types of clients needing this kind of guidance. Historically, international tax planning was mostly associated with large multinational companies. But in today’s world, global mobility is no longer limited to large corporations.
Many individuals and small businesses now face the same cross-border tax questions that previously only affected large organisations.
So in 2021, I started my own advisory firm to focus on helping these globally mobile individuals and businesses navigate international tax issues.
Since then, I’ve worked with hundreds of UK individuals planning or executing moves abroad.Â
Across these engagements, many of the same patterns appear repeatedly — the same questions, the same misunderstandings, and often the same costly mistakes made before people fully understand how the rules work.
Over time, it became clear that many of these issues arise simply because clear explanations of how international tax rules work in practice are difficult to find.
That realisation ultimately led to the creation of WorldTaxCourses, where these recurring topics are explained in a structured and practical way.
World Tax Courses
WorldTaxCourses was created to provide clear, structured guidance on international tax topics that are increasingly relevant in a globally mobile world.
Historically, international tax planning was largely the domain of large multinational corporations. Today the landscape is very different. Entrepreneurs operate businesses across borders, remote professionals work internationally, and individuals increasingly hold investments or assets in multiple jurisdictions.
As a result, many people now encounter cross-border tax issues without having access to clear explanations of how the rules actually work in practice.
WorldTaxCourses was developed to address that gap by providing practical courses that explain complex international tax concepts in a structured and accessible way.
The material is based on recurring questions and issues that arise in real advisory work, as well as topics frequently discussed on the WorldTaxAndy YouTube channel.
Over time, the platform will expand to include additional courses covering different aspects of international tax planning and cross-border financial structuring.
